Miles Mosley – Uprising

Here's another jazz album that pushes boundaries. "Uprising" is the first major release from Mosley, fresh off of playing bass on Kendrick Lamar's "To Pimp A Butterfly," and Andra Day's "Cheers To The Fall," both fantastic albums.

Mosley's solo project is a blend of jazz, funk, soul and rock, featuring impressive musicianship and brash lyrics. Mosley, like Trombone Shorty, is a young name to watch as we wait on the next era of jazz.

Standout tracks include, "Your Only Cover," "Fire," "Abraham," and "Don't Let LA Bring You Down."
